Last week, me and my boyfriend attended a beautiful wedding in Montepulciano — a romantic hill town that locates in southern Tuscany, Italy. I had been excited about this for 2 whole months! This was the first time that I’ve ever entered Europe and I cannot say how thrilling it was to finally had the chance to travel there! Unfortunately, Air France lost our luggages on the first day we got there… Their service was super incompetent and incorporative. I literally cried on that day because I didn’t have anything with me — no clothes, no shoes, no makeup bag, no nothing! And I had a wedding to attend the next day like it wasn’t bad enough. It was such a terrible experience and first impression to me about Europe; kinda ruined half of the joy… I kept telling my boyfriend that I wasn’t going to have anything to blog about, and I was there for the first time! My boyfriend had to drive me all the way to Siena the next morning so I could buy something to wear to the wedding since there wasn’t any around the area. It was really tough for him to handle me at times like these… He had to try to cheer me up the whole time! Luckily enough, I found a very chic boutique named Twinset in the heart of Siena and got my whole wedding look there! Although I’d prefer to have the things I packed, this whole set was more than I could ever ask for at the time. It was a sweet look, completely matched the romantic scenery of Montepulciano. On my boyfriend’s end, he got an amazing suit from Boggi which was even nicer than what he’d brought initially! It was our lucky draw!!! My boyfriend went like, ‘don’t worry, we’re in Italy, designer clothes are everywhere‘ (only in the big cities though) and although I had to use drug-store makeup (it was Maybelline so it wasn’t that bad), we totally rocked the wedding in the way that we didn’t think we could! Okay, enough rambling, here are the picturessssss…

Nina and Shen were made for each other… Shen was too overwhelmed by his beautiful bride that most times he forgot his lines because he was busy watching her. It was so sweet and loving to see the two getting married. They truly belong together!

One of my impressions about Europe was their long summer day. When I took this photo it was 7pm and yet the sun was still high. Guess what time the sun set? … 9pm!!!

After dinner and all the warmest toasts from family and friends, there came the wedding cake. Yeah, I know, it didn’t sound that exciting did it? I never had hope for wedding cakes because they were presumingly not so tasty. But this one!

This particular wedding cake, prepared by the chef himself in front of us, was called mille-feuille which meant ‘a thousand layer cake’ and it totally WOWed me! All of us! We never thought we’d expect a wedding cake to be this good. It was so delicious that I finished my whole portion even though it was too sweet for me (I normally don’t eat sweet). Later me and my boyfriend tried it again at a restaurant in Rome, but nothing was like this one. This one was spelled A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!

And after that everyone moved to the dance floor so that the newly married could have their first dance! That puts an end to my blog today as I am sitting here reminiscing the whole wedding ceremony. It was full of love and joy in all simplicity.  I truly, truly wish them a long and happy life together! In the end, everyone deserves someone who makes them feel whole, don’t they?!
